HID recognized by Saudi government for digital ID leadership

HID has been recognized as the ‘Saudi Arabia IoT Leader in Digital ID Verification’ by the Kingdom’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST), and the Digital Government Authority (DGA). The announcement was made during the LEAP 2026 technology conference.

The recognition is part of Saudi Arabia’s IoT Adoption Initiative, which aims to support the objectives of Vision 2030 by enabling secure digital experiences and strengthening security as organizations digitalize services. The initiative has involved over 300 public and private-sector organizations, contributing to the deployment of more than 40 million connected devices and approximately SAR17 billion (US$4.5 billion) to the national GDP.
