HID, Soloinsight, and CTS launch integrated visitor check-in kiosk

HID, Soloinsight, and Connected Technology Solutions (CTS) have announced the integration of a self-service visitor check-in kiosk designed for global enterprises and critical infrastructure. The system combines HID’s ATOM document reader and U. ARE. U facial recognition module with Soloinsight’s CloudGate visitor management and physical identity and access management (PIAM) platform.

The solution aims to address security gaps in facilities such as hospitals, data centers, and logistics hubs, where traditional check-in processes often lack identity verification. By integrating document authentication and facial verification, the kiosk allows visitors to scan QR codes, verify identities via passports, driver’s licenses, or mobile IDs, and undergo live face verification to ensure the person matches their documentation.

This automated process is intended to reduce manual identity checks, prevent unauthorized entry, and provide a consistent, auditable trail for compliance and investigations.
