Hidalgo achieves highest historical credit rating from Moody’s Local

The state of Hidalgo has received a credit rating upgrade from AA.mx to AA+.mx with a stable outlook from Moody’s Local México. This marks the highest rating in the state's history, placing it among a select group of Mexican entities with AA-level ratings from major agencies including Fitch Ratings, S&P Global Ratings, Moody’s Local México, and HR Ratings.

The rating upgrade follows financial discipline policies, increased local revenue, transparency, and responsible public resource management under the administration of Governor Julio Menchaca Salazar. Moody’s Local highlighted Hidalgo's healthy public finances, growing state revenues, an expanding economy, and low debt levels as key factors supporting this assessment.
