Mayor Omar Muñoz launches Cuautlancingo's Parque de las Infancias

Mayor Omar Muñoz of Cuautlancingo officially broke ground on the Parque de las Infancias, a new public park funded with more than 6.8 million pesos. The project will provide green areas, four large playground structures, a bathroom module, parking and a security booth, and is intended to serve over 7,000 local residents. The park was selected after a citizen‑consultation exercise held on the first Tuesday of the Day of the People, during which community members identified the need for a recreational space. Muñoz emphasized that the initiative aims to strengthen social cohesion, reduce violence and improve the quality of life for children, adolescents and families. The mayor also announced plans to begin construction of a municipal sports center in the coming days, continuing the administration’s focus on public‑space recovery.
