Hidalgo authorities hold meeting on responsible technology use in schools
The Hidalgo government, through the Instituto Hidalguense de Educación and the Subsecretaría de Educación Básica, held a state meeting titled “Diálogos hacia una Escuela Digital Responsable” (Dialogues toward a Responsible Digital School). The event involved more than 240 participants, including educators, parents, and guardians.
Nancy Adriana León Vite, representing the head of the IHE, emphasized that while technology provides significant learning opportunities, it also presents challenges that require shared responsibility between schools, families, and educational authorities. The meeting focused on protecting the rights and well-being of children and adolescents through community-driven agreements.
During the session, Gerardo Flores Morales, Director of Conciliation and Management, discussed official guidelines for the use of technology and devices in basic education, covering regulatory processes and the Hidalgo State Education Law. Participants engaged in workshops to share experiences and propose solutions for managing digital devices in school environments to foster a responsible digital culture.
