Hidalgo labor authorities offer aid to families of deceased miners
The Hidalgo State Secretariat of Labor and Social Welfare (STPSH) has offered free legal advisory services to the families of two workers who died at the San Juan mine in Pachuca.
Due to the nature of the workplace and the circumstances of the accident, the STPSH stated that jurisdiction over the case falls to federal authorities under the Mexican Constitution and the Federal Labor Law. The state agency is providing guidance through the State Attorney for the Defense of Labor to assist families with any labor-related matters arising from the incident.
