Hidalgo launches 2026 Tourism Innovation Awards

The Hidalgo State Tourism Secretariat (Secturh) has announced the 2026 Tourism Innovation Awards. This initiative aims to recognize creativity, innovative experiences, and excellence within the state's tourism sector. The program aligns with Governor Julio Menchaca Salazar's strategy to strengthen Hidalgo's position through its cultural heritage, gastronomy, and unique landscapes.

Elizabeth Quintanar Gómez, head of Secturh, stated that the awards are designed to provide visibility to the talent and commitment of service providers, municipalities, and local communities. The goal is to foster a more diversified and competitive tourism industry that leverages the specific vocations of each region in the state. The call for entries is scheduled to run from August 18 to September 11.
