Hidalgo strengthens early childhood development through health training
The government of Hidalgo is implementing a strategy to strengthen early childhood development by training health personnel. The state Secretary of Health, Vanesa Escalante Arroyo, led a workshop titled “El personal de salud como agente de cambio en el Desarrollo Infantil Temprano (DIT): Cada momento cuenta” in Tizayuca.
Conducted by Fundación Televisa for medical students from the Instituto Educativo y Cultural de Hidalgo (INECUH), the training focuses on the critical role health workers play in a child's long-term well-being. The initiative emphasizes that routine activities, such as control consultations, vaccinations, and home visits, are essential opportunities to guide families and identify developmental needs.
The state government aims to provide free continuous education and professional updates to ensure that economic conditions do not prevent health workers or students from improving their specialized skills in pediatric care.
