Hidden beaches of Galicia become summer hotspots

The Sanguiñedo river beach in the municipality of Dozón, Pontevedra, offers a tranquil, pool‑like setting surrounded by trees, a picnic area, benches and restrooms. Accessible via the N‑525 road, it has become a popular summer spot for locals and visitors seeking a cool dip away from the heat.

Further north, the Razo beach near Carballo in the province of A Coruña, known for its strong Atlantic surf, has attracted attention as a private retreat for Spanish actors Mario Casas and Óscar Casas. The Blue‑Flag‑certified stretch provides continuous surf conditions, a protected dune‑marsh ecosystem and basic amenities, making it a favored destination for both surfing enthusiasts and those looking for a secluded coastal escape.
