Hideki Matsuyama begins final round at Baycurrent Classic

The final round of the Baycurrent Classic Presented by Lexus has commenced at Yokohama Country Club. Hideki Matsuyama, the 2021 tournament champion, began his final round at 5-under par, currently in 29th place, starting his round with a birdie on the first hole.

Japanese golfer Takumi Kanaya moved up to 22nd place at 6-under par following a third round of 68. Despite a double bogey on the 17th hole, Kanaya secured a par on the 18th to maintain momentum as he seeks to secure his playing status for next season.

Other Japanese competitors include Ryo Hisatsune, who sits at 4-under par after struggling with green reading during the second round, and various other PGA Tour members. The tournament leaders entering the final stage include Jacob Bridgeman, Michael Brennan, and Zach Bowden, all tied at 13-under par.
