Hideki Matsuyama falls to 26th as two Japanese golfers miss cut at Wyndham Championship

On day two of the Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club in North Carolina, Hideki Matsuyama posted a 69 (four birdies, three bogeys) to finish six under par, dropping to 26th place, six strokes behind the leader. Fellow Japanese player Kensho Hirata also shot 69, three under, securing 64th place and making the cut.

Takumi Kanaya recorded a 70, one under, ending 92nd and missing the cut, while Ryo Kyujo posted a 68, one over, finishing 112th and also missing the cut. American Bow Hosler leads the tournament at 12 under. The top 70 finishers will qualify for the upcoming FedEx St. Jude Championship in Tennessee.
