Hideo Kojima and km5 Release Limited‑Edition Death Stranding 2 CD Player

Japanese game creator Hideo Kojima partnered with audio brand km5 to launch a limited‑edition portable CD player themed after the upcoming game Death Stranding 2. The device, called the Instant Disc Audio CP1, features a translucent orange casing that reveals the internal disc‑spinning mechanism, an LED display referencing the series' BB pod, Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, USB‑C charging, and a removable lyric‑booklet slot. It supports CD, CD‑R, CD‑RW and MP3 formats and can be wall‑mounted via rear screw holes.

The player is priced at ¥25,300 (about $199) and includes an 1800 mAh battery delivering roughly 7–8 hours of playback. A standard non‑themed version is also available for a lower price. Stock is limited and the product is being sold through km5’s website and other retailers.
