Hideo Kojima shares new details on Physint development

Hideo Kojima has shared new details regarding Physint, his upcoming action-espionage project developed by Kojima Productions. During his KOJI10 podcast, Kojima emphasized that while the game evokes the roots of the Metal Gear series, it aims to provide a “different kind of spy action” through new ideas and interactive experiences.

The project, which marks Kojima’s 40th anniversary in the industry, is being developed in partnership with Xbox following a transition from Sony. Kojima confirmed that the script is complete and that filming/performance capture is expected to begin in 2025, with full production potentially starting in 2027.

The cast includes Bill Skarsgård in the lead role, alongside Charlee Fraser, Ma Dong-seok (Don Lee), and Minami Hamabe. Kojima noted that several actors have already undergone body scanning. Additionally, Kojima discussed his other project, OD, noting that it is a horror title intended to be released before Physint and that he plans to keep its specific details a mystery until launch.
