Hidro Prahova responds to Court of Accounts audit report

Hidro Prahova S.A., the water and sewerage operator for Prahova County, has issued a public statement regarding an audit report from the Court of Accounts. The company clarified that it does not contest or attempt to minimize the auditors' findings, stating that the conclusions have been analyzed seriously and remediation measures have been implemented where necessary.

The company has requested that media outlets publish a right of reply, arguing that recent press coverage failed to provide necessary context regarding the timeline of the audit. The audit covers the period from January 1, 2023, to November 30, 2025, during which three different general managers held leadership positions.

Hidro Prahova emphasized that the current management, led by Andrei Bontic who assumed his mandate on February 27, 2025, should not be held automatically responsible for decisions, contracts, or situations that occurred under previous administrations during the audited period.
