HIFK secures victories in preseason and domestic play

HIFK has concluded its training camp in Sweden with a 7-5 victory over Finspång AIK. Despite the win, coach Simo Vainikka noted defensive errors that allowed the opponent to remain competitive, though he expressed satisfaction with the team's development during their limited time playing on full-sized ice.

In domestic action, HIFK secured a 3-2 overtime victory against Sport in Vaasa. The match marked the return of defenseman Aron Kiviharju, who rejoined the lineup following a month-long injury layoff. Kiviharju contributed two assists during his 21 minutes of ice time, highlighting the team's resilience after overcoming a late-game deficit.
