Higashikawa Town launches furniture and craft exhibitions in Taiwan

Higashikawa Town, located in Hokkaido, Japan, is launching a series of furniture and craft exhibitions in Taiwan to deepen cultural and commercial exchange. The initiative features 13 woodworking brands and artisan workshops from the Higashikawa region, showcasing diverse designs ranging from traditional Japanese craftsmanship to contemporary functional pieces.

The collaboration includes three distinct exhibition venues. A major exhibition at Huashan 1914 Creative Park will showcase various brands, while Dann Bed will host a curated selection at its Renai flagship store. Additionally, a partnership between the Taoyuan and Higashikawa governments will present local craft culture at the Daxi Public Hall.

To formalize this relationship, New Home Sofa and Dann Bed signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) with the Higashikawa Town government. These agreements aim to facilitate long-term cooperation through product selection and cultural exchange, establishing Taiwan as a primary overseas market for Higashikawa’s woodworking industry.
