Higashisakuran Kan students compete in national English debate tournament

Third-year junior high school students from Higashisakuran Kan participated in the 16th National Junior High School English Debate Tournament held online on September 27. The event was organized by the Popularization Committee of the High School English Debaters Association (HEnDA).

Competing against 22 elite schools across Japan, the six-member team debated the topic: ‘Resolved: All schools in Japan should abolish school uniforms.’ The team achieved a record of one win, two losses, and one draw across four matches. Additionally, student Uzu Takahashi received both the ‘Excellent Debater Prize’ and the ‘Best Debater Prize’ during the competition.
