Higgidy and Thatchers Cider announce new product collaboration

Food brand Higgidy has announced a collaboration with Thatchers Cider to launch a new Creamy Chicken, Mushroom & Thatchers Cider Pie. The product features free-range British chicken, white and chestnut mushrooms, and Thatchers Gold cider in a sauce made with whipping cream, blended beans, and butternut squash purée.

The new pie is encased in butter-enriched shortcrust pastry with an all-butter puff pastry lid and a garlic and thyme crumb. It is scheduled to be available in major retailers, including Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Waitrose, and Ocado, starting September 9.

In conjunction with this launch, Higgidy is transitioning its entire pie portfolio to use Wildfarmed flour, which is produced using regenerative farming methods without pesticides. This move follows previous brand collaborations, such as Higgidy’s partnership with Guinness.
