Higgsfield AI launches free academy to teach AI filmmaking

San Francisco-based startup Higgsfield AI has launched Higgsfield Academy, a free program designed to educate filmmakers on using generative AI technology. The initiative follows the release of the company’s 95-minute AI-generated film, ‘Hell Grind’, which debuted at the Cannes Film Festival. While the film faced criticism regarding its plot, its technical visuals drew significant attention.

Through the Academy, the company will share the specific prompts used to create ‘Hell Grind’ to help bridge the gap between AI demonstrations and actual production use. The program aims to certify users in the use of Higgsfield’s AI platform, Cinema Studio.

Higgsfield AI reports significant growth, claiming a $500 million annual run rate and serving over 26 million users worldwide. The launch of the Academy occurs amidst ongoing industry debates regarding the role of artificial intelligence in Hollywood.
