Health Council advises on Hepatitis B and COVID-19 vaccinations

The Health Council has issued guidance regarding Hepatitis B vaccinations for professionals. As more individuals who received the vaccine as children enter the workforce, current policies must adapt. The advice focuses on protecting both workers at risk of exposure—such as those in healthcare, laboratories, and emergency services—and those who could potentially infect others through their work.

In a separate health advisory, the High Health Council has released recommendations for the 2026-2027 COVID-19 vaccination season. The guidance emphasizes prioritizing individuals at higher risk of severe illness, specifically targeting people aged 65 and older, residents of nursing homes, and individuals with certain underlying health conditions.
