High-performance Mini PCs integrate flagship desktop hardware

The ultra-compact PC market is seeing significant hardware advancements, with new models pushing the boundaries of performance and miniaturization.

Minisforum has introduced the MS-02 Ultra, a 4.8-liter mini PC designed for workstation-level tasks. It features an Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX processor with 24 cores and supports up to 256 GB of ECC RAM. The device is optimized for high-speed networking, offering dual 25 GbE SFP+ ports, 10 GbE, and 2.5 GbE, alongside Wi-Fi 7. It also supports up to 24 TB of NVMe storage across four M.2 slots.

In a separate development, a Chinese manufacturer has unveiled an extreme Mini PC that integrates high-end desktop components. The system houses an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 with 24 GB of VRAM and an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor. To manage the heat generated by these flagship components, the unit utilizes a custom cooling solution featuring a large vapor chamber, copper heat pipes, and high-pressure fans.
