High school baseball tournaments commence in Mie and Tochigi

High school baseball tournaments are underway in multiple Japanese prefectures. In Mie Prefecture, the 108th National High School Baseball Championship Mie Tournament opened at Dream Ocean Stadium on July 4. The schedule includes various matchups across the first, second, and third rounds, with some games rescheduled due to rain.

In Tochigi Prefecture, the 17th annual first-year student tournament progressed through the block second rounds. Teams such as Utsunomiya Technical and Otawara advanced to the block finals. Several matches were postponed to the following day due to inclement weather.
