High school enrollment trends show top programs in Croatian counties

Data from the Ministry of Education reveals the most sought-after high school programs for top-performing eighth-grade students in the Požega-Slavonia and Brod-Posavina counties for the 2026 enrollment cycle.

In Požega-Slavonia County, the General Direction at Požega Gymnasium ranked first with an average score of 76.25. This was followed by the Natural Science and Mathematics direction at the same institution. Other notable programs included the General Direction at Pakrac Secondary School and vocational tracks such as Business Economics at the Economic School Požega and Electrical Machine Technician at the Technical School Požega.

In Brod-Posavina County, the Classical Gymnasium in Slavonski Brod emerged as the most popular, with students enrolling with an average of 77.22 points. The Natural Science direction at Nova Gradiška Gymnasium followed closely. Other high-ranking programs included the Natural Science and Mathematics direction at Matija Mesić Gymnasium and the Pharmaceutical Technician program at the Secondary Medical School in Slavonski Brod.
