High school football power rankings see shifts in Schuylkill County and WPIAL
High school football power rankings for Schuylkill County and the WPIAL have seen significant shifts following Week 6 action.
In Schuylkill County, Blue Mountain maintains its No. 1 ranking after a 60-0 shutout victory over Panther Valley. Williams Valley moved up to the No. 2 spot following a 12-6 win against Schuylkill Haven. Shenandoah Valley climbed to No. 3, while Marian Catholic entered the Power 5 rankings after upsetting the previously second-ranked Tri-Valley.
In the WPIAL rankings, South Fayette reclaimed the No. 1 position in Class 4A after Blackhawk lost to New Castle. In Class 6A, Central Catholic remains at the top, while North Allegheny entered the No. 5 spot following Seneca Valley's exit from the rankings. Other top-ranked teams maintaining their positions include Pine-Richland in Class 5A, Elizabeth Forward in Class 3A, Seton LaSalle in Class 2A, and Clairton in Class A.
