High school football rankings show shifts in West/Mid-West and Illinois

High school football rankings for the West/Mid-West region and Illinois state levels show significant movement as the regular season progresses. In the West/Mid-West Top 20, New Trier High School holds the number one spot with a 16-1-0 record, followed by Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville, Kentucky, and Glenbrook North High School in Illinois.

In the Illinois state rankings, East St. Louis remains the top-ranked Class 6A team following a 35-0 shutout victory over Edwardsville. Loyola Academy maintains a perfect 6-0 record, while Brother Rice has emerged as the frontrunner in Class 7A after defeating Chicago Mt. Carmel. Additionally, St. Rita climbed to the number 12 spot after a victory over Montini Catholic, which dropped to number 18.
