High school football teams secure shutout wins in season openers

High school football seasons have commenced with several dominant performances across various regions.

In Alabama, Selma High School secured a commanding 62-0 shutout victory against Carver-Birmingham. Led by Cedrick Simmons, who scored five touchdowns, and quarterback Kole Moody, the Saints utilized strong conditioning and offensive chemistry to control the game.

Dallas County High School also earned a decisive win, defeating Breakthrough Charter 40-8. Despite an early 8-0 deficit caused by turnovers, the Hornets rallied behind scoring plays from Diveon Young, Kafabian Wilson, Cajun Pritchett, and Jaiden Jackson.

Elsewhere, Keith High School opened its season with a 36-0 shutout of Calhoun High School. Wide receiver Christian Rayford led the offense with 100 rushing yards and three touchdowns, while the defense, anchored by Tyler Muse, prevented Calhoun from scoring.
