High school soccer results: Mt Blue and Skowhegan draw 2-2

In recent high school soccer action, the Mt Blue Girls Soccer team played to a 2-2 draw against Skowhegan after extra periods. Skowhegan initially took the lead through Lydia Herrick, but Mt Blue responded with goals from Avery Simpson and Andi Savage. Skowhegan managed to tie the match late in regulation when Herrick scored on a rebound.

In Class B South girls soccer, York staged a comeback to defeat Wells 4-3 in overtime. After trailing by two goals, York tied the game with a penalty kick by Sofie Rosen in the final minutes of regulation, before Ella Mello scored twice in overtime to secure the win.

Other regional results included Poland defeating Oak Hill 4-1, Deering beating Portland 1-0, and Marshwood edging Cheverus 1-0 in boys soccer. In field hockey, Yarmouth secured a dominant 7-1 victory over Lake Region.
