High Ticket System shifts e-commerce focus to high-value goods

The ‘Sistema Alto Ticket’ (High Ticket System) is an emerging e-commerce model utilizing artificial intelligence to automate product research, supplier identification, and listing creation. This method shifts the focus from high-volume, low-margin sales to a strategy centered on a few high-value items.

This approach arrives as the Italian e-commerce landscape undergoes shifts. Data from Osservatorio Netcomm and Politecnico di Milano indicate that the number of Italian companies with active e-commerce sites decreased from 91,000 to 87,000 in one year, even as the total value of online purchases in Italy grew by 6% to 66.6 billion euros.

The model emphasizes high transaction margins and avoids the costs of inventory management. Instead of purchasing and storing goods, authorized retailers sell established brands and have manufacturers ship directly to the end customer. One specialized sauna retailer using this method reported sales of 2.2 million euros in 2024 and 2.9 million euros in 2025, representing a 32% growth.
