Higher education application windows open in Ecuador and Costa Rica

In Ecuador, the Viceministerio de Educación Superior has opened the second application phase for public higher institutes and conservatories. Students have until September 22, 2026, to select up to three preferred careers in order of priority. The process covers 54 public institutions offering technical, technological, and artistic training in fields such as software development, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and gastronomy. Results are expected to be published between September 25 and 28, 2026.

In Costa Rica, the EducationUSA Mexico and Central America Fall Tour 2026 will host a university fair on September 29 at the Centro Cultural Costarricense Norteamericano in San Pedro. The event will feature 25 United States universities and institutions, providing information on undergraduate and graduate programs, admission requirements, scholarships, and financing. The fair includes sessions on the TOEFL exam and Fulbright scholarship opportunities.
