Higher Education Commission Pakistan announces new scholarships and travel grants

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan is expanding support for academic mobility and research through new scholarship and grant initiatives.

The HEC recently held its 41st Travel Grant and Seminar/Conference Apex Committee meeting to review 73 travel grant applications and 13 seminar/conference support applications. These reviews are based on academic merit, eligibility, and compliance with established policy guidelines to facilitate researchers and faculty participation in international academic forums.

Additionally, the HEC has announced a new round of overseas scholarships for Pakistani and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) nationals. This program targets MS/MPhil and PhD candidates seeking admission to institutions ranked among the top 200 universities globally. Participating countries include the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, Canada, Germany, and the Netherlands, with institutions such as the London School of Economics and Political Science and Kyoto University among those included.
