Higher education institutions in Moldova and Romania announce new enrollment figures

Moldova State University (USM) has reported an increase in student enrollment for the new academic year, with approximately 1,500 more students compared to the previous year. Rector Otilia Dandara noted that Law, Economic Sciences, and Psychology remain the most sought-after fields, while interest in IT programs has seen a relative decline. The university also introduced two new programs: English-Chinese Translation and World Economy and International Economic Relations.

Dandara attributed the growth to the 'Learn in Moldova' campaign supported by the Ministry of Education and Research. Meanwhile, the University of Bucharest has announced over 5,800 available spots for its autumn admission cycle. This includes 2,339 undergraduate positions and 3,538 master's positions, with a portion of these spots being state-subsidized to exempt students from tuition fees.
