Higher education institutions report 2026/2027 enrollment figures

Higher education institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia are reporting enrollment figures for the 2026/2027 academic year.

At the University of Zenica (UNZE), Rector Jusuf Duraković confirmed that 695 first-cycle students have been enrolled following a second application round. This includes 115 students from the most recent round, representing a slight increase of approximately 10 students compared to the previous year. The university also noted 147 applications for master's programs and ongoing applications for doctoral studies.

In Slovenia, the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth reported that 69,631 students have been enrolled in higher education institutions, including 15,303 first-year students. The University of Ljubljana has enrolled 36,905 students, while the University of Maribor has recorded 15,751. Other institutions, including the University of Primorska, the University of Nova Gorica, and the University of Novo Mesto, have also reported ongoing enrollment processes.
