Higher education rankings and international study preparations
The 26th edition of the Perspektywy Higher Education Ranking for 2025 has been released, providing a data-driven comparison of academic and vocational institutions in Poland. The ranking utilizes 31 indicators across seven criteria, including academic prestige, scientific potential, innovation, teaching efficiency, and graduate employability. For the first time, the assessment includes a specific ranking for vocational universities, combining both public and non-public institutions to provide a more comprehensive view of the Polish higher education landscape.
In parallel with domestic academic planning, educational experts advise students aiming for prestigious international universities to begin formal preparations between September and October. Successful applications for global institutions often require more than just high grades; candidates must prepare language proficiency exams such as TOEFL or IELTS, personal statements, and CVs. Experts emphasize that international admissions committees look for a holistic candidate profile, including extracurricular achievements and the ability to demonstrate critical thinking during unconventional interview processes.
