High‑Refresh‑Rate Monitors Aim for 270–1000 Hz Refresh Speeds

The display market is introducing a new generation of high‑refresh‑rate monitors. One example is the Screen X 270, a 27‑inch panel that offers up to 270 Hz refresh, 4K or QHD resolution, HDR10/Dolby Vision support, and professional‑grade colour accuracy with Mini‑LED or OLED‑style panels. It targets gamers, content creators and business users seeking fast response times and precise colour reproduction.

Industry players are also pushing refresh rates far beyond 270 Hz. Prototypes showcased at the Nuclear Fusion Game Carnival in Shenzhen feature 1000 Hz turbo modes, glasses‑free 3D conversion, eye‑tracking, and up to 2000 nits brightness using quantum‑dot Mini‑LED backlights. Upcoming models from Acer, Samsung Display, ASUS and others promise native 540 Hz panels, with some capable of 1000 Hz in reduced‑resolution modes, as well as advanced OLED and Mini‑LED technologies for improved contrast and brightness. These products are slated for release in North America and Europe between late 2026 and early 2027.
