Highstar unveils full‑chain battery cells for AI data centers

Highstar announced a full‑chain battery cell portfolio for artificial‑intelligence data centers at the 2026 GGII Energy Storage Industry Summit. The solution spans three power layers: grey‑space UPS and high‑voltage DC systems, white‑space battery backup units, and grid‑side energy storage.

Key products include an 85 Ah high‑rate lithium‑iron‑phosphate cell for UPS/HVDC, a 50 Ah sodium‑ion cell operating from –40 °C to 80 °C, tabless cylindrical cells in 18650 and 21700 formats with both LFP and high‑nickel NMC chemistries for backup units, and grid‑side lithium‑ion (314 Ah) and sodium‑ion (160 Ah) cells. The portfolio is designed to meet AI data‑center demands for faster response, dependable backup, temperature control and longer lifecycle performance, while simplifying selection and integration for power‑equipment suppliers and data‑center operators.
