Highway 99 closed in Surrey following multi-vehicle crash

A multi-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck, a trailer, a bus, and several other vehicles caused the closure of Highway 99 in both directions in south Surrey, British Columbia, on Friday.

Preliminary reports from the Surrey Police Service suggest the semi-truck may have crossed into oncoming traffic. While one person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, police stated there were no reports of serious injuries resulting from the crash.

The closure affected the stretch between the Highway 91 interchange and King George Boulevard. Emergency responders, including firefighters and paramedics, attended the scene to manage the incident and clear a significant backlog of vehicles.
