Separately, the Morena party held its VIII Ordinary Session of the National Council to discuss political strategies for the 2027 elections. Senator Olga Sosa Ruíz emphasized the need for internal unity and territorial organization. The session focused on building alliances, coordinating political structures in 17 states facing gubernatorial elections, and a proposal to ensure approximately 60 percent of those candidacies are held by women.
