Hiking routes offer scenic views in Black Forest and Odenwaldkreis

Various hiking routes in Germany offer diverse landscapes and historical sites. In the Black Forest near Freiburg im Breisgau, a circular walking route begins at the Schauinslandbahn cable car. The approximately 7.97-mile trek provides panoramic views of the Rhine plain, the Vosges, the Jura, and the Alps. The path traverses wooded areas, pastures, and villages, featuring a panoramic tower and various sculptures.

In the Odenwaldkreis region of Hesse, the Burg-Breuberg-Weg provides a seven-kilometer circular hike. Starting in Neustadt, the route leads through forests and meadows to the Burg Breuberg, a 12th-century castle that remains remarkably well-preserved. The trail includes views of the Mümlingtal, the Scheuerberg, and the Breuberg tree kingdom.
