Hikvision thermal camera receives ETI certification for fire detection

Hikvision has obtained the Technical Suitability Assessment (ETI), issued and evaluated by Applus+, for its thermal camera solution designed for early fire detection and prevention.

The certification validates the suitability of the technology for identifying thermal anomalies before fire risks become visible. Unlike conventional imaging, this thermographic technology captures infrared radiation to monitor temperature variations and identify hotspots.

The system utilizes a Large Language Model (LLM) to continuously monitor protected areas and detect thermal variations. This certification falls within the framework of the Fire Protection Installations Regulation (RIPCI), which provides for the evaluation of innovative products lacking specific existing standards.
