Hildon Chaves pledges healthcare reforms in Rondônia campaign

Hildon Chaves, former mayor of Porto Velho and pre-candidate for the Governor of Rondônia, has signed a pact with healthcare professionals represented by SINDISAUDE-RO. Chaves committed to addressing the state's public health crisis by investigating outsourced contracts, resolving overcrowding at the João Paulo II Hospital and Emergency Center, and constructing a new urgent care hospital within two and a half years.

His proposed healthcare platform includes calling approved civil service candidates to address staffing shortages, updating the Health Career and Salary Program (PCCR), and doubling the food allowance for health workers from R$ 500 to R$ 1,000 within 90 days. He also pledged a 3% increase in the State Health Secretariat (SESAU) budget for 2027.

Simultaneously, Chaves's campaign is seeing growth in regions such as Porto Velho, Ji-Paraná, and Ariquemes. This momentum has reportedly led to increased social media attacks from opponents Marcos Rogério and Adailton Fúria, who are utilizing digital platforms to criticize Chaves's political alliances.
