Hilionpoli school principal in critical condition after cardiac arrest

A 50-year-old principal of the 2nd Gymnasium of Hilionpoli is in critical condition in the intensive care unit of the Red Cross Hospital. The woman suffered a cardiac arrest and lost consciousness while walking toward a local elementary school to pick up her child.

Following a loud thunderclap, the woman collapsed. While initial reports suggested she may have been struck by lightning, it has not yet been confirmed if she suffered a direct strike or if the collapse was triggered by the intense sound of the thunder. Emergency services (EKAV) and trained rescuers performed CPR at the scene to revive her.

She is currently intubated and under sedation. Medical professionals are monitoring her closely and awaiting test results to determine her clinical progress. The coming days are considered decisive for her recovery.
