Hilton partners with Vietnam's T&T Group on Vinh Long hotel projects

T&T Group and Hilton have signed an agreement to manage three hotel projects in Vietnam's Mekong Delta, with Vinh Long selected as the first site, followed by projects in An Giang and Sa Đéc. The partnership aims to address the province's shortage of accommodation that forces hundreds of domestic and foreign experts to commute daily from Ho Chi Minh City or Cần Thơ and return the same day. Provincial officials highlighted that Vinh Long's urbanisation rate is only 17.8 % and that in‑migration is the highest in the region, creating demand for integrated, “all‑in‑one” urban districts that combine housing, work, education and leisure facilities. Experts warned that the province's proximity to larger economic centres can become a disadvantage without adequate local infrastructure and services. Hilton’s Vietnam development director noted that Vinh Long’s river scenery may be more suitable than neighbouring Cần Thơ for such projects. The developers stress that successful projects require coordinated planning, transparent legal frameworks, reputable investors and quality post‑handover service.
