Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu demands Centre's rightful dues
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said the hill state is only seeking its rightful financial dues from the Union government, labeling the denial of the Revenue Deficit Grant as an injustice. He warned that “tolerating injustice is also a sin” and called for compensation for the environmental services the state provides.
Speaking after the 57th Foundation Day of Himachal Pradesh University in Shimla, Sukhu announced the laying of foundation stones for a Digital Library and a new academic building for the University Institute of Legal Studies. He highlighted the university’s new Machine‑Learning courses and praised its alumni, including Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, as evidence of the institution’s contribution to the nation.
