Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhu responds to Ramdev on exam corruption
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has responded to yoga guru Ramdev’s warnings regarding corruption and irregularities in educational and government recruitment examinations. Sukhu stated that if a figure like Ramdev is raising these concerns, there must be systemic issues, and he challenged the yoga guru to lead a movement against corruption.
Defending his administration, Sukhu claimed that no paper leaks have occurred in Himachal Pradesh during his three and a half years in office. He alleged that such incidents, including the sale of police recruitment papers, occurred under the previous BJP government and suggested that paper leaks typically require high-level directives to succeed. He noted that those involved in past leaks remain in custody.
Ramdev had previously issued a warning to the central government at Patanjali Yogpeeth, suggesting that if scams in examinations are not addressed, youth unrest could intensify. He urged the younger generation to keep any protests within constitutional and peaceful boundaries, referencing the 2011 Ramlila Maidan protests.
