Himachal Pradesh Minister accuses BJP of disrupting Assembly session
Himachal Pradesh Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of disrupting the start of the Legislative Assembly session. According to Dharmani, BJP members objected to the playing of the National Anthem, demanding instead that the session begin with the National Song.
The BJP members reportedly cited orders from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs to support their demand. Dharmani countered that there is equal respect for both the National Anthem and the National Song, noting that both played vital roles in the country's independence movement. He stated that the decision to choose between the two rests with the Assembly itself and that no specific directives have been issued by top leadership.
Dharmani criticized the BJP's actions, suggesting the move was an attempt to create division among the public and called for an apology from the party.
