Himachal Pradesh: Two dead and two children injured in Sirmaur house collapse

A residential house collapsed in the Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh, resulting in the deaths of two people and leaving two children seriously injured. The incident occurred near Didag in the Rajgarh subdivision on a Wednesday afternoon. Four individuals were trapped inside the structure but were rescued by local villagers.

The deceased have been identified as 60-year-old Nirmala and 32-year-old Pooja, both relatives of the homeowner. The two injured children are currently receiving treatment at the Civil Hospital in Rajgarh. Local authorities reported no damage to public infrastructure or loss of livestock in this specific incident.

This collapse occurs amid a period of severe monsoon-related disruptions in Himachal Pradesh. Official data indicates that over 70 people have died and 204 roads have been blocked due to rain-related disasters over the past 43 days, with cumulative property damage exceeding Rs 910 crore.
