Himanshi Khurana discusses religious identity and past breakup

Himanshi Khurana has addressed the religious differences that contributed to her past relationship and subsequent breakup with Asim Riaz. Speaking on Paras Chhabra’s podcast, the Punjabi actress shared that while her former partner did not mistreat her, discussions regarding his faith led her to question her own religious identity.

Khurana stated that her partner would share the positive aspects of his religion in an attempt to help her understand and accept it. However, she expressed feeling as though she was “betraying my God” by potentially moving away from the faith she was raised in. This internal conflict led her to feel as though she was saying goodbye to her spiritual roots, prompting her to visit religious sites like Char Dham to seek a sense of closure.

The couple, who rose to prominence following their time on Bigg Boss 13, reportedly ended their relationship in December 2023, citing the sacrifice of their love due to differing religious beliefs.
