Hime Shin Line to host family tour at rolling stock depot

The Hime Shin Line Utilization Promotion and Vitalization Alliance has announced a family tour of the Hime Shin Line rolling stock depot in Himeji. The event is scheduled for November 21, 2026, from 12:30 PM to 2:45 PM.

Participants can engage in various railway-related activities, including driving simulator experiences (via lottery), driver and conductor experiences, rail cart rides, and car washing demonstrations. Other activities include learning about dispatch operations, spike driving, and sound inspection. A local shooting game using bamboo from nearby areas will also be available.

The event is free of charge, though participants must cover their own round-trip fare to Ama Station. Applications are open from October 8 to October 22, 2026, for groups of two or more. To promote line usage, attendees are required to use the Hime Shin Line; no private vehicles or drop-offs are permitted, and a shuttle bus will operate between Ama Station and the venue.
