Himeji City to open SHIRO TERRACE tourism center

Himeji City will open a new tourism exchange center named ‘SHIRO TERRACE’ on October 24, 2026. Located on the first floor of Laurel Court Himeji Otemae-dori, the facility aims to stimulate the city center and promote the local tourism industry.

The center will feature several high-tech and interactive services, including an ‘AI Navigator’ to assist visitors and a ‘Discovery View’ digital touch map. An information theater will offer a 250-degree panoramic video experience, including virtual tours of Himeji Castle.

Additionally, the facility will serve as a retail space for local products, including a sake tasting corner and pop-up shops featuring collaborations with local businesses. To celebrate the grand opening, a stamp rally event will be held in the surrounding shopping districts on October 25, 2026.
