HIMKI and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan partner to protect furniture and craft workers
The Indonesian Furniture and Craft Industry Association (HIMKI) has partnered with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan to expand social security coverage for workers within the furniture and craft sectors. The collaboration was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and several Cooperation Agreements (PKS) at the Trade Expo Indonesia 2026 in Tangerang.
This strategic partnership aims to protect both formal and informal workers in the industry ecosystem. The initiative seeks to increase awareness among business owners regarding the importance of labor protection as a component of good corporate governance. HIMKI will utilize its regional networks to facilitate socialization and education, while BPJS Ketenagakerjaan will provide information, assistance, and social security services to mitigate socio-economic risks for workers.
